People performing brake tests are required to be competent in the testing procedure & in the use of the testing equipment.

In addition it is mandatory that they are able to interpret the results given and make an informed decision based on those results as to whether the machine has passed or failed.

  • Brake system testing is required by Australian Standards and Coal Mines Health And Safety Regulations.
  • Testing of the Steering system before use is a requirement Coal Mines Health And Safety Regulations.
  • To be competent you have to be trained and assessed to a recognised competency.
